Rev. Mike Maxwell is a seasoned pastor with over 25 years of pastoral ministry experience in the United Methodist Church. As a passionate advocate for people to encounter God and become all God intended them to become, Mike brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to Side Porch, Inc. 

With a background in people and organizational development, Mike has served small, medium and large churches. On a volunteer basis, Mike has served and held leadership roles on the District Committee of Ordained Ministry for over 16 years, where they guide candidates through the process to become ordained clergy. As a certified and credentialed coach for over four years, Mike has effectively helped people of diverse backgrounds take their next steps professionally and personally.

As founder and Executive Director of Side Porch, Inc. Mike is passionate about coming alongside leaders who are struggling with burnout to help them renew their vision, restore their passion, and refresh their soul so they can increase their impact in the communities they serve. His deep desire is for each person to experience the full life God intends them to live. 

Outside of the church, Mike enjoys breakfast dates with his wife Maria, watching any event his son and daughter are involved in, home projects, playing sports, reading, and watching spy movies. Being a people person, one of his favorite things is just connecting in conversation over a cup of good coffee surrounded by a beautiful view.
